HOW TO IDENTIFY PART NUMBERS

IDENTIFYING YOUR HP PART

IDENTIFYING YOUR LENOVO/IBM PART

IBM/Lenovo use FRU numbers to identify their parts. In most cases, the word, “FRU” will be followed by a 7 digit code. This code typically consists of 2 numbers, followed by a letter, followed by 4 numbers. For example, 41W1478.

IDENTIFYING YOUR DELL PART

Dell uses part numbers to identify their parts. In most cases, the abbreviation, “D/PN” will be followed by a 6 digit numerical code. For example, 0C088T. However, the first digit “0” is not used when looking up parts.
